Ingredients
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 4 cups flour
  • ½ cup plus 2 tables spoons of cocoa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Filling
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 tblspoons of flour
  • 2 tblspoons of powdered sugar
  • 4 tblspoons of milk
  • 1 cup crisco
  • 1 box of powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Cream crisco and sugar together
  2. Add egg yolks to cream mix
  3. Add milk and water alternating while mixer running
  4. Add baking powder and soda, along with 4 cups of flour, cocoa, and salt and mix thoroughly
  5. Drop sm tsp's on greased cookie sheet until sheet is full
  6. Bake in oven for 15 minutes under 350 degree heat
  7. Filling:
  8. Combine filling ingredients and beat until fluffy
  9. Once the individual chocolate pie/cookies are cool, put a heaping spoonfull of the filling between two and rest on cookie sheet
  10. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate or serve same day
