White Chocolate Mousse

The Best White Chocolate Mousse I have ever had!!!
  • 6 oz white chocolate
  • 1½ cup of whipping cream well chilled
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 8 egg whites, room temp
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • ¼ cup of granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of whipped cream
  1. Slowly melt chocolate in a double boiler over low heat
  2. When melted remove from heat, let cool but not hard
  3. Whip ½ cup whip cream until soft peaks
  4. Add powdered sugar and whip again until stiff
  5. In a different bowl, Whip egg whites in bowl with cream of tarter
  6. Gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form
  7. Add whipped cream and cooled chocolate and fold in gently
  8. Fold egg whites into chocolate cream mix
  9. Chill 4 hours or more before serving
